Fee software is usually judged on collection and should be judged on reconciliation. Taking a payment is easy; knowing at 6pm that the day's receipts match the bank, and being able to show which ones do not, is the part that takes the time.
EduTask separates fee structures by type — academic, transport, hostel and other charges — so a student who uses the bus and a student who does not are billed correctly without a manual adjustment. Late-fee rules apply against overdue instalments on their own.
Collections can be imported from a spreadsheet for daily reconciliation against the accounts system, with a preview before anything is written and a batch that can be reverted whole if the figures do not agree.
